Meet the new X Factor judge Cheryl Cole!

 

Cheryl signs on for X Factor

 

Cheryl Cole has reportedly signed a £1million contract to replace Sharon Osbourne as a judge on The X Factor.

 

Sharon, who quit the role on Friday (June 6),

endorsed Cheryl for the job and now fellow judge

Louis Walsh has joined her.

Louis told the Daily Mirror:

“I know Cheryl from our Popstars:

The Rivals days and she’s carved out a very successful career since then.”

He added:

“Don’t forget that she has been through this kind of process,

so she will know how these kids are feeling when they audition and also get through to the live shows.”

X Factor bosses were initially worried whether Cheryl could manage the commitments of the show on top of her work in Girls Aloud.

But these worries evaporated when Cheryl said that she would juggle her work and was

“prepared to work like a bitch.”

The singer will join Louis, Dannii and Simon Cowell

to start filming tomorrow (June 12).

The X Factor returns later in the summer.
