Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole’s
debut solo effort has shot
straight to the top of the charts –
becoming the fastest selling
single of the year,
WENN reports October 26th.
Following her much discussed
performance on talent show
The X Factor, -
which she helps Simon Cowell judge -
Cole’s solo single Fight For This Love
shifted almost 300,000
sales in a week.
Last year’s X Factor winner
Alexandra Burke,
who Cole mentored on the series,
was knocked into second position
with Bad Boys.
Rapper Chipmunk’s Oopsy Daisy
is at three,
while Robbie Williams’ comeback
song Bodies sits at number four.
Taio Cruz rounds out the top
five with Break Your Heart.
But Burke shouldn’t feel too
bad her track is no longer
number one –
her debut disc,
Overcome,
is at the top of the album charts.
